This is a great video it really got me reflecting on why I love trail running. For many as mentioned on the video it is discovering the beauty of surrounding myself with nature for hours at a time.
I discovered how hard I could push myself, physically and mentally. I discovered a deep passion and appreciation for flying up and down buffed out single track trails, and more importantly, how it made me feel. It was like I could sweat out my worries, anxiety and stress. I truly feel like myself when I’m on the trails. The noise of the world gets quieter and my mind gets a chance to relax. I make this sound like a drug, and in a way it sort of is.
